Attracting God's Backing

By Pastor 'Deji Adewale

Just because some of us are saved, sanctified and filled with the Holy Spirit, that doesn’t mean we are exempted from trouble times.

John 16:33 & Psalms 34:19 both imply trouble times for the righteous, but God did not stop there. He gave the assurance that we are alone, helpless & hopeless. He has our backs.

When a person says they has your back; it means they are there to help you out, they will watch out and take care of the things you're likely to miss, that they are a second set of eyes and hands for you.

That you shouldn’t worry about a thing, they’d take care of everything, and they got you covered.

If you’ve ever found yourself in the midst of trouble, problems, unfavorable circumstances, alone, no help, difficult dilemmas, and messed up moments…when hell & havoc comes your way, know this & hold fast to it with all your faith and might, God’s got your back.

But to attract God’s backing, there are some practical steps one will need to take, first and most important of which is to confess Jesus as Lord & Saviour, and give one’s life to unreservedly to Him.
You will have good success this 2017.
Remain blessed.
Shalom.

Peace Like a River

By: Pastor Dr. Oladotun Reju

John 14:27 - “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid”.

Peace means rest, safety, good health, quietness, prosperity. Peace is being calm and having no troubles what so ever, even in the midst of chaos or storm.

Peace is truce, ceasefire, treaty, armistice, pacification, conciliation, cessation of hostilities, rest, stillness, calmness.  All the listed meanings of peace can never be experienced in life except God is involved.

It is only the peace of God that can allow someone to live in trouble times and with the threat of persecution all around.  Peace from above is available but only to those that are close to God and put their trust in Him.

Psalms 9:10  And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.

Psalms 125:1  They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever.

Psalms 18:30  As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him.

Know that “storms without God will break you. Storms with God will make you” From this moment onward you will begin to enjoy peace – physical peace, financial peace, spiritual peace, all-round peace, in Jesus Name.

You will have good success this 2017.
Remain blessed.
Shalom.

No Woman Left Behind

By Sis Oluchi Olageshin

Matthew 24:41: “Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left”

Are you ready for His coming?  No woman or man should be left behind when Christ comes on the last day? You might have heard that we are in the end times, the last days, and also Jesus is returning soon.

The end of things as we know it in the earth is drawing near. God has notified us both through His written Word and by His Spirit within us that Jesus is coming back for us.

The question is, “will you be ready when the Lord shall come”?  How have we treated our husbands, children, friends, less privileged and helpers?

If you’re expecting the King of kings, how should your life look? Would you have been comfortable if He came back during your activities this past weekend?

Colossians 3:2 says “Then you need to focus your attention and your affection on the things of God instead of the things of this world “

After all, this world is not our final destination. We’re just sojourning here, looking forward to the time of glory and at home with the Lord, in Jesus Name.

You will have good success this 2017.

Remain blessed.

Shalom.

Where the Spirit of the Lord is

By Pastor 'Tayo Adewale

The Spirit of the Lord is the Spirit of righteousness. God’s desire is to fill us up with His Spirit.  Ephesians 5:18 (AMP) confirms it -“Do not get drunk with wine, for that is wickedness (corruption, stupidity), but be filled with the [Holy] Spirit and constantly guided by Him.”

It is a command. All we need is to empty and open ourselves unto Him for His infilling. We know that we don't deserve it, but we thank God that our righteousness is in Christ Jesus.

"God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God” – 2nd Cor. 5:21. God never alters the robe of righteousness to fit man; He changes the man to fit the robe.

There are some things you will see where the Spirit of the Lord is present.
- There will be freedom, freedom from ignorance, bondage, etc
- There will be divine direction
- Acts 1:8, power, boldness, restoration, revelations.
- God’s presence with His people. God’s protection of His people.
- There will be cleansing of His people.
- The judgment of His people.
- Divine enablement of His people.
- God’s gracious activity in the assembly of His people. Acts 4:31

We can't do anything without the Holy Spirit, our prayer everyday should be the one that David prayed in the book of Psalms 51:11 – "Cast me not away from your presence, and take not your Holy Spirit from me”

If we live another day without the Holy Spirit’s control in our lives, we have only ourselves to blame.  Brethren, empty and be open to the Holy Spirit today and let Him fill you up, and you shall be free from every bondage, timidity, ignorance, sin, in Jesus Name.

Remain on Top!
You will have good success this 2017.
Remain blessed. Shalom.

Divine Perfection

By Sis Olamide Oladejo

Divine perfection is the spiritualized in the energy of God, God is really at work on our behalf. There is the full assurance that He will be at work to complete that which HE has commenced.

Whether it is visible or not, the reality is that all human beings have one challenge or the other. When we talk about perfection in our lives, we are usually coming from a background that something is imperfect and needs to be perfect.

What does the Holy Bible say? Psalm 138:8 “The Lord will perfect that which concerneth   me, thy mercy, o Lord, endureth forever: forsake not work of thine own  hands”. Here, the Psalmist appreciates that he is the creation of Jehovah Elyon (the God of creation) just like you and I.

Therefore we  have a duty to remind God to perfect  His work in our lives, but because  we know that we may have taken steps that have worked against what we desire or some evil forces might have vowed that our joy will not be full, we need to ask for the mercy of the LORD just like the psalmist.

Did God pause in the middle of creation? NO, so whatever He starts, He will not leave it or suffer it to be marred. Phil 1:6 “being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus”

God is concerned about every details of our lives not only because He knows everything but also because He loves us and wants us to experience what is best for us. Halleluyah.

You will have good success this 2017.

Remain blessed.

Shalom.

Happy New Year - From Our Pastor's Desk

By: Pastor 'Deji Adewale

January 2017 Our Month of Divine Perfection.

Welcome to this our new Month of Divine Perfection, in Jesus name.

Perfect means being complete, & without defect or blemish. Precisely accurate or exact. Flawless.

Psalms 138:8 – “The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me...” This is God’s promise to YOU, as a heavenly-minded believer that everything concerning you will be perfected, complete without any flaw. It is God Himself that promised, not you, not your Pastor, not your parents, husband/wife, not by your works, strength, gifts, talents, power, intellect, wisdom, not by your logic.

It is the Lord who has begun the good work within you; it is He who has carried it on; & it is He that will complete & perfect all that concerns you. The Lord also intends to perfect you. Yes, YOU! Not only the things concerning you, but also you, yourself.

The Psalmist says in Psalms 18:32 – “It is God that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way perfect” God desires that your character be perfect, your relationship with Him be perfect.

In this Month of Divine Perfection,  He will most assuredly, beyond a doubt, bring to perfection your faith, your character.  He will perfect His purpose in your life. He will perfect your calling;

He will perfect your future. He will perfect His promises concerning you. He will perfect your spirit, body and soul.  Be blessed this month.

You shall be “…perfect and entire, wanting nothing”, in Jesus Name. Amen.

Overwhelmed with Joy

By Minister Rowan Samuel

Isaiah 61:10—”I am overwhelmed with joy in the LORD my God! For he has dressed me with the clothing of salvation and draped me in a robe of righteousness.

I am like a bridegroom in his wed-ding suit or a bride with her jewels” In the beginning God created that which was good news but with-in the  first three chapters we have  murder and mayhem.

However  in Genesis 3:15 we have the  first gospel  which is good  news indeed  for there  God promised to send the seed of the woman who would ultimately crush Satan's head.

Since there was no redemption for the angels who sinned it blows the mind to see or understand just how much God loves Mary.

God fulfilled His word to the wise men and the shepherds who were overwhelmed by Joyous Jubilation and exuberance; indeed the fulfillment should cause all men great joy.

Keep looking up!

You will have good success this 2016.

Remain blessed.

A Mercy

By Bro. Gabriel Bamgbose

Mercy is an attribute of God. It is one way God manifests Himself to us and one dimension He makes Himself known to us.

And in fact it is His divinity and miraculous pact with his creations. When we consider the registers of mercy, we find goodness, love, kindness, grace, generosity, thankfulness, forgiveness, and in fact  salvation and provision.

This means that  to obtain mercy from God is to embody the  fullness of His diverse manifestations. And of course, the nature of  God’s mercy is that it is multitude, infinite and everlasting.

But we should pay  attention to the singularity of “a mercy”. When we obtain a mercy from God, what do we do with it?

The Psalmist proclaims: “Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits” Psalm 103:2. A clear injunction to forget not His mercy!

The forgetfulness of a mercy is a grand obstacle to many of His everlasting mercies we should have received. Our God reigns in the abundance of mercies.

As we validate a mercy by telling its glorious tale through the words of our testimonies and the continuance of our thanks and praises in the fullness of joy, we receive mercies.

May we experience God in the fullness of His mercies!

You will have good success this 2016.

 Remain blessed.

Shalom.

Joy as a Weapon

By Pastor 'Deji Adewale

JOY is an effective weapon. It can destroy fear, anxiety, discouragement, loneliness,
timidity, and reveal the glory of the Lord!

Though some people use the terms happiness and joy interchangeably, there is a vast difference in their meaning. Both cause a pleasant emotional response, but the former relies entirely upon circumstance.

As soon as difficulty arises and pain intrudes, a person ceases to be happy. On the other hand, joy is a gift from God that enables believers to find hope and peace—even when life seemingly falls apart.

If you are a follower of Jesus but lack gladness, take a moment to remember who Christ
is and who you are in Him. To begin with, you are saved eternally, and your name is written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. The love of almighty God is unconditional, and His indwelling Spirit will
never abandon you. He understands everything that you face and
promises to provide for your needs.

When you stop to consider the amazing blessings that are yours in Christ, gratitude will likely overwhelm you. Sadness concerning circumstances may still endure, but the joy of the Lord will
carry you through even the deepest pain Nehemiah said unto the people in Nehemiah 8:9-10 - “…This day is holy unto the LORD your God; mourn not, nor weep. For all the people wept, when they heard the words of the law. Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength”

You will have good success this 2016.
Remain blessed.

Forget Not His Benefits

By Pastor 'Deji Adewale

Psalms 68:19  Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation.

Psalms 103:-
1 – “Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.
2  Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
3  Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth  all thy diseases;
4  Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who  crowneth thee with lovingkindness  and tender mercies;
5  Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that  thy youth is renewed like the eagle's”

The word  “Bless” here means  “to speak well of, or to  utter an appreciation.” God is worthy of our gratitude, adoration, appreciation, thanks, and our highest praises.

Forget not all His benefits unto you. Have you counted up your benefits lately? Your benefits from the Lord?

Do you realize how much you have?

And not just material possessions but in every way. We are blessed by God in many ways!
Every good and perfect gift is from above!

We sometimes forget the gracious hand that blesses us every day with choice bounties!  All the benefits of God are there for you to enjoy. It’s up to you to establish them firmly in your heart so you can forget them not!

You will have good success this 2016.
Remain blessed. Shalom.

Remember the Times

By Pastor 'Deji Adewale.
RCCG Dominion Mercy Seat

Think back, recall, recollect, recapture…bring back the memories…

Deuteronomy 8:1–2 “All the commandments which I command thee this day shall ye observe to do, that ye may live, and multiply, and go in and possess the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers. And thou shalt remember all the way which the LORD thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no”

As we get to the end of the year 2016, it is important that we take a look at what has been happening in our lives so far. So much has happened this year. Some of them made us happy. Others made us sad. Whatever your experiences have been this year, it is important to reflect and make sense of what & where you’ve come from, where you’re going, and where you want to get to.

In the scripture above, God instructed Israel not to forget the important things that have happened to them. When we forget our experiences, we fail to glorify God and appreciate what He does for us. Some times manna came, and other times manna ceased. But all for experiences sake, so that we may grow thereby.

As you take time to reflect on these soberly, His grace will be upon you to look back and be thankful to Him. Remember your journey. We have all been and are all on a journey. Remember the times and…Be very Thankful

You will have good success this 2016.

Remain blessed.

Shalom.

For Divine Performance, Be a God Pleaser

By Pastor 'Deji Adewale

One big concern young people have is being accepted by their peers. As we reflect back on our childhood years, we might laugh at how we changed our appearance in order to fit in the crowd.

Unfortunately, some of us also did things against our own conscience. The young will start hanging out with the wrong people.  But 1st Corinthians 15:33 says, “Evil company corrupts good habits.” They might think their so-called friends would like them more.

The fact is you can never please everybody, period.  Fortunately, there’s only One Person that we need to seek the approval of. Regardless of what other people say or do, God will never leave you nor forsake you if you are in covenant with Him.

Jesus said in John 8:29; “…The Father has not left me alone, for I always do those things that please Him.” Obeying God can also bring us favor with people.  Proverbs 16:7 says, “When a man’s ways please the LORD, He makes even His enemies to be at peace with him.”

Galatians 1:10 (NIV) – “Am I now trying to win the approval of men, or of God? …If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a servant of Christ” Matthew 6:1 (MSG) - “Be especially careful when you are trying to be good so that you don’t make a performance out of it. It might be good theater, but the God who made you won’t be applauding”

Brethren, ladies & gentlemen, children of God, Vessels of Mercy, let us strive to please God rather than men. If you’re tempted to be a people-pleaser, the sermon of today shares four good reasons to quit worrying so much about what people think of you.

You will have good success this 2016.
 Remain blessed.
Shalom.

Knowing that You're Royalty

By Bro 'Sumbo Adefila

Many contemporary Bible believing Christians sometimes doubt their heavenly royal status. But the Bible tells us in Romans 8:37 “Now if we are children, then we are heirs-heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ. If indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share with his glory”.

It means that as Christ is King and reigns, so also shall we be made Kings and we will reign forever with Christ. Imagine what it means to be a king; remember all the responsibilities that Kings shoulder, all the respect they command, the pleasures they enjoy, and the treasures they own.

Most important of all, Kings are Judges of their domain and are the decision makers Psalm 2:10 “Now therefore, O kings, show discernment, take warning, O judges of the earth”. Therefore, we as Bible Believing Christians need to start to own our responsibilities and realize our royal status.

It is time for us to believe that we are more than conquers, that we are the most important elements in this earth and we have dominion over it.  Romans 8:38-39 says _ “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present not the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus Our Lord”.

Have you being suffering from inferiority, unawareness of mind, or lack of courage? Remember 1 Peter 2:9 “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation…” Brothers and Sisters, prepare yourself because a date has been set for your coronation. You will surely possess your possessions in Jesus name.

You will have good success this 2016.
Remain blessed.

The Coronation of King David

By Pastor 'Deji Adewale

After God removed Saul “He raised up David to be their king, of whom He testified and said, ‘I have found in David the son of Jesse a man after my heart, who will do all my will” - Acts 13:22.  God had said the same in 1st Sam. 13:14; God told Saul through Samuel that “the LORD has sought out a man after his own heart and appointed him ruler of his people, because you (Saul) have not kept the LORD’s command” .

So Samuel the priest went to the town of Bethlehem and visited a man called Jesse and his family. He asked to see Jesse’s sons, and one by one they all came in to stand in front of him. First of all the oldest son, Eliab, came in. He was tall and strong and good-looking, and Samuel thought to himself, “This has to be the one God has chosen!”

But, God said to Samuel, No. “Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart”

So the next son came in, and Samuel said, “This isn’t the one God wants either.” All seven sons passed and Samuel didn’t choose any of them. Then there were no more.

So Samuel was a little bit puzzled. And Samuel said unto Jesse, Are here all thy children?  And he said, There remaineth yet the youngest, and, behold, he keepeth the sheep. And Samuel said unto Jesse, Send and fetch him: for we will not sit down till he come hither. Soon David arrived; he was young, ruddy, strong and good looking, and God said to Samuel,

“And the LORD said, Arise, anoint him: for this is he, king of Israel”

Remain blessed.

Children of Light in a Dying World

By Sammy Mbila

In this month of our “SUNRISE AND SUNSHINE” we must make a self determined effort to examine some core concepts about the Biblical Children of Light.

The word of God tells us in John 8:12 that God is Light! therefore if God is light everyone under God’s shadow is under the light and can safely be called a child of light. Mathew 5:14 says we are the light of the world so as Children in Dominion Mercy Seat we can boldly proclaim ourselves as “CHILDREN OF LIGHT” because we are God’s children before becoming the children of our biological parents.

The Bible says in Jeremiah 1:5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart…….” And in Psalm 139:13 the word of God tells us that “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb”. In Mathew 19:14 Jesus said “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these”. In Luke 18:16 and Mark 10:14 Jesus made the same plea that Children should be allowed to come to HIM.

We must therefore examine some important assurances and commands from God for Children of Light in Dominion Mercy Seat.

We must:
1. Be a “Timothy” to our teachers and parents. Philippians 2:19-20
2. We must be a light to our friends in School especially those who do not believe in Jesus as Lord and Savior. Isaiah 49:6B
3. We must remain chosen. Isaiah 49:7
4. We must not fellowship with unbelievers. Ephesians 5:11
5. We must readily forgive. Mathew 18:2-4; Ephesians 4:32 and Colossians 3:13

You will have good success this 2016.

Remain blessed.

Be Strong in the Lord

By Pastor 'Deji Adewale

Divine strength is the power we need for living. It is the desire of God to strengthen us - Psalm 29:11 – “The LORD will give strength unto his people; the LORD will bless his people with peace”, but the plan of the devil is to weaken the children of God.

When you are weak and weary because of the challenges of life, you need to call on God for divine strength. When God has blessed you so much that you can’t even cope with the workload required of you, you need divine strength as well. When troubles and trials seem to overwhelm you, you need the help of the Most High to strengthen you so that you can carry on.

Ephesians 6:10 says “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might” The reason we need to "be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might" is that satan wants to get us away from that. It is our power base. He wants to separate us from God, because the moment he gets us away from Him, we become an easy prey.

Thus, the devil wants to put a wedge between God and us.  The only power that can defeat satan is the power of Jesus Christ. Be strong in the Lord. Stay close to Him. Never let anything come between you and the Lord.  You will have good success this 2016.

Remain blessed.
