Part 1 - Why Am I Getting Married Too?

By Pastor 'Deji Adewale

"I DO' - Before & After Series

Family is not a concept of man. It’s God’s plan and He loves families. First established in the garden of Eden, families come about as a result of marriage, union of two separate souls coming together to blend their pasts and create a future.

Though it’s ok to remain single, you’d make heaven but marriage is sooooo beautiful. That is, marriage gotten right.

So, if God is calling you to marry, He wants to join you to someone with whom you can build a strong, godly home, filled with love and grace – a home that exalts Jesus Christ as Lord.

But people get married for lots of reasons, some good, others not so good. Many marriages fail today because the couple does not understand either the purpose or the principles of successful marriage. They simply, lack knowledge.

No one should ever get married without first carefully and clearly answering the question, “WHY?” Deliberate and thoughtful consideration in advance will prevent a lot of problems, heartache, and regret later on.

Knowing why you want to marry can confirm your good decision and help you avoid a bad decision. As we chew over & contemplate getting married, I pray that we follow the Lord’s direction in every aspect, for “heaven-on-earth” homes, in Jesus Name.

You will have good success this 2017.

Remain blessed.

Shalom.

Faith Under Fire

By Pastor 'Deji Adewale

Mark 5:22-23 – “And, behold, there cometh one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name; and when he saw him, he fell at his feet, And besought him greatly, saying,
My little daughter lieth at the point of death: I pray thee, come and lay thy hands on her, that she may be healed; and she shall live”

Jairus was a man who went to our Lord Jesus Christ to seek help for his dying daughter and while he was with Jesus some members of his synagogue came and told him his  daughter had died, saying to the man in verse 35 –  “They daughter is dead: why troublest thou the  Master any further?”

Couldn’t these friends see the heart of Jairus break when they told him the  bad news? Thank God, Jairus was standing in the  presence of the only person on earth who could help him Jairus was a man of  faith, got Jesus’ attention and received grace.

Brethren, it doesn’t  matter what your problem might be,  satan means to use that problem to  destroy any hope you might have in  the ability of the Lord to help you.

He knows once hope is gone, you are forever defeated. But if he cannot take away your hope, he knows you will find a way to overcome the problem.

Jesus, the Hope of the hopeless, Help of the helpless, will wade into your situation TODAY. In spite of all discouragers, naysayers, devil-helpers,

Jesus will awaken every dead dream, dead vision, dead life, dead organ, dead finances, dead business, dead hope…in Jesus Name. You will have good success this 2017.

Remain blessed.
Shalom.

Remember the Times

By Pastor 'Deji Adewale.
RCCG Dominion Mercy Seat

Think back, recall, recollect, recapture…bring back the memories…

Deuteronomy 8:1–2 “All the commandments which I command thee this day shall ye observe to do, that ye may live, and multiply, and go in and possess the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers. And thou shalt remember all the way which the LORD thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no”

As we get to the end of the year 2016, it is important that we take a look at what has been happening in our lives so far. So much has happened this year. Some of them made us happy. Others made us sad. Whatever your experiences have been this year, it is important to reflect and make sense of what & where you’ve come from, where you’re going, and where you want to get to.

In the scripture above, God instructed Israel not to forget the important things that have happened to them. When we forget our experiences, we fail to glorify God and appreciate what He does for us. Some times manna came, and other times manna ceased. But all for experiences sake, so that we may grow thereby.

As you take time to reflect on these soberly, His grace will be upon you to look back and be thankful to Him. Remember your journey. We have all been and are all on a journey. Remember the times and…Be very Thankful

You will have good success this 2016.

Remain blessed.

Shalom.

Grace for Grace

By Bishop Chinedu Adigwe

Read a story about a man that was in jail for 15 years. Never received a single visitor. After his release, his wife and son met with him, only to tell him never to return to them. His 3 daughters, now married, refused to see him, never seen his 4 grand children (wasn’t sure how many).

A society that values “saving face” has no room for those who will seemingly bring them disgrace, so we disgrace them.  Disgrace. We quickly want to see the other fellow disgraced, put down. We want the other to fall so we can bask in the light of self-justification while the other fellow fell. To show we are better Christians, more righteous, holier, smarter… All satan wanted to do was to disgrace Jesus on the cross. All his plan is to put us to shame, put us down, humiliate us. Some just want to see others fall. So they can bask…We just want to see others fumble and fall from grace, so that we can point to them and say “I’m not like that broth-er or sister…, I’m better” just like the Pharisee’s statement in his prayers.

We just want to say “that’s good for him” As Peninah disgraced, abused, humiliated, provoked, belittled Hannah. Some just want to see the “nakedness” of others, so they can laugh like Noah’s son, Ham…rather than cover each other’s nakedness as Shem & Japheth did. But the Bible says in John 1:16  And of his fullness have all we received, and grace for grace.

Grace, as given unto you, give also. You will have good success this 2016.

Remain blessed.
Shalom

I am what I am by the Grace of God

By Pastor 'Deji Adewale

The mercy and grace of God helps us to serve Him effectively and powerfully. We are unworthy in our own strength and abilities . But when we receive the grace of God we are enabled to serve Him.

The Apostle Paul felt he was not even worthy to be called an Apostle because he persecuted the church of God. But the Grace of God transformed him and enabled him to labour more than anybody else. We need to receive the grace of God to overcome our weaknesses and limitations and serve God effectively.

The Lord wants us to come boldly before the throne of Grace to receive grace and mercy to help in time of need. In his dying days Paul still said – Philippians 3:7-10 – “But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ.

Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith: That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;” You will have good success this 2016.
Remain blessed.
