April, Our Month of Focus On The Family

From Our Pastor's Desk.

Welcome to this our new Month of Focus on the Family, in Jesus name.

God established the family as the most basic unit of the society. He blessed and told the first family to multiply, replenish and subdue the earth - Genesis 1:28.

This was God’s first instruction to man. They were created to form family relationships.

This stated purpose of God in creation indicates that He considers a godly family of utmost priority in the world.

A Household/Family is the primary group or unit consisting of a man and a woman. If God wills, children could be added. Gen. 2:18 – “The LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet”

A Family could also be a group or related things. E.g. The church,, we are a family and we are one through Jesus Christ.  Godliness is from the word eusebeia, which means “the fear or reverence of God”. Thus, a godly family is a family that is well devoted to and well pleasing to the Lord.

This month, as we focus on the Family, God will grant us grace & make our families (and church family) faithful to Him in all respects. Our homes will have great and solid marriages, conducive for raising godly children.

A family that would be a great example for others to imitate and follow, in Jesus Name.

AMEN.

Part 1 - Why Am I Getting Married Too?

By Pastor 'Deji Adewale

"I DO' - Before & After Series

Family is not a concept of man. It’s God’s plan and He loves families. First established in the garden of Eden, families come about as a result of marriage, union of two separate souls coming together to blend their pasts and create a future.

Though it’s ok to remain single, you’d make heaven but marriage is sooooo beautiful. That is, marriage gotten right.

So, if God is calling you to marry, He wants to join you to someone with whom you can build a strong, godly home, filled with love and grace – a home that exalts Jesus Christ as Lord.

But people get married for lots of reasons, some good, others not so good. Many marriages fail today because the couple does not understand either the purpose or the principles of successful marriage. They simply, lack knowledge.

No one should ever get married without first carefully and clearly answering the question, “WHY?” Deliberate and thoughtful consideration in advance will prevent a lot of problems, heartache, and regret later on.

Knowing why you want to marry can confirm your good decision and help you avoid a bad decision. As we chew over & contemplate getting married, I pray that we follow the Lord’s direction in every aspect, for “heaven-on-earth” homes, in Jesus Name.

You will have good success this 2017.

Remain blessed.

Shalom.

Baptized in the Holy Ghost

By Pastor 'Deji Adewale

A new Believer is placed in the Body of Christ by the Holy Spirit. He is baptized in water by the visible church.

Now that Believer needs to be baptized with the Holy Spirit, so he can be energized and supernaturally empowered to live the born-again life the way God wants it lived.

Acts 1:8 says: "“But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."

Baptism in the Holy Spirit is an experience through which God empowers a believer for His service by filling him/her with the power of the Holy Spirit. This makes it vitally important for us to not only find out what our assignment from God is, but also to get a hold of His power so we can fulfill that task.

That is why we need to be filled with the Holy Spirit -- so we can operate in the same power and ability that God operates in. "“Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

And He that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because He maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God".  - Romans 8:26-27.  The Holy Spirit will grant you utterance and boldness from today, in Jesus Name.

You will have good success this 2017.

Remain blessed.

Shalom

Where the Spirit of the Lord is

By Pastor 'Tayo Adewale

The Spirit of the Lord is the Spirit of righteousness. God’s desire is to fill us up with His Spirit.  Ephesians 5:18 (AMP) confirms it -“Do not get drunk with wine, for that is wickedness (corruption, stupidity), but be filled with the [Holy] Spirit and constantly guided by Him.”

It is a command. All we need is to empty and open ourselves unto Him for His infilling. We know that we don't deserve it, but we thank God that our righteousness is in Christ Jesus.

"God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God” – 2nd Cor. 5:21. God never alters the robe of righteousness to fit man; He changes the man to fit the robe.

There are some things you will see where the Spirit of the Lord is present.
- There will be freedom, freedom from ignorance, bondage, etc
- There will be divine direction
- Acts 1:8, power, boldness, restoration, revelations.
- God’s presence with His people. God’s protection of His people.
- There will be cleansing of His people.
- The judgment of His people.
- Divine enablement of His people.
- God’s gracious activity in the assembly of His people. Acts 4:31

We can't do anything without the Holy Spirit, our prayer everyday should be the one that David prayed in the book of Psalms 51:11 – "Cast me not away from your presence, and take not your Holy Spirit from me”

If we live another day without the Holy Spirit’s control in our lives, we have only ourselves to blame.  Brethren, empty and be open to the Holy Spirit today and let Him fill you up, and you shall be free from every bondage, timidity, ignorance, sin, in Jesus Name.

Remain on Top!
You will have good success this 2017.
Remain blessed. Shalom.

The Fruits of Righteousness

By Sis Toyin Ogundare

With the grace of the Holy Spirit being a guide, we are able to obtain grace.

This grace extends from God to us to enable us be more like Him in truth and in actions. We become fortified, Like our savior Jesus Christ to overcome all earthly limitations.

We are given the desire to love others as the Lord loves us and from there stem other Fruits the Spirit grants to help aide us towards God's vision for Christendom.

Whoever pursues righteousness and love finds life, prosperity and honor. Proverbs 21:21  Not only do we begin to bear the fruits of the Holy Spirit; our characteristics begin to mimic a Godly expectation.

We draw nearer to purity. The path to truth becomes easy terrain to tread over. The Holy Spirit Himself takes over our environments as a result of our just lifestyle. As a result, not only do we meet the demand of God the Father to tarry in His holiness as we await Christ, but we too inhabit the Earth in a pre-set setting of being acceptable in the eyes of our Father.

May the same governance of the Spirit that has been salvaging us from going astray always keep us in alignment to complete our mission in Jesus name.

You will have good success this 2017.

Remain blessed.

From Our Pastor's Desk - Our Month of the Holy Spirit of Righteousness

 By Pastor 'Deji Adewale

Welcome to this our new Month of the Holy Spirit of Righteousness, in Jesus name.
Brethren, the Holy Spirit is real. He is the third person of the Holy Trinity, which is God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

So, the Holy Spirit is God Himself – 1st John 5:7. When we receive Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, the Holy Spirit comes to live in our hearts. Our hearts become His dwelling place as we learn to yield to Him.

Then, we will experience His supernatural power and breakthrough like never before. What has He come to do?

Jesus said in John 16:7, "Nevertheless I tell you the truth: It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comfort-er will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send Him unto you." He is here. And He desires to bring many into the Kingdom of God, from darkness into the Light, from sin unto Righteousness.

"When He [the Holy Spirit] comes He will convict the world of guilt in regard to sin and righteousness” - John 16:8, In this Month of the Holy Spirit of Righteousness, I pray we receive the outpouring of the Holy Spirit anointing.

As we acknowledge Him and commune with Him on a daily basis, He will show us mysteries and the secret plans of God for our lives, and guide us into our destiny as we allow Him to direct our decisions, in Jesus Name. Amen

Living Under the Influence - LUI

By Pastor 'Deji Adewale

Driving under the influence (DUI), or driving while intoxicated (DWI), is the crime of operating a vehicle while impaired by alcohol or other drugs (including recreational drugs and those prescribed by physicians), to a level that renders the driver incapable of operating a motor vehicle safely. Okay.

So, if Christians are not to be drunk with wine, where do they find joy and happiness? The answer is in the Bible, specifically Ephesians 5:18b - " And do not get drunk with wine, wherein is excess, but instead be filled with the Spirit."

What does this mean? As Christians, it means our thrills, our exhilaration, and our happiness should be the result of being filled with the Holy Spirit, not from being filled with wine.

And what alcohol is to your body negatively, the Holy Spirit is to your new nature positively. When you're under His control, He makes you walk in ways you wouldn't normally walk, and talk in ways you wouldn't normally talk.

The Spirit-filled life is overflowing with gratitude, joy, right relation-ships, and good behavior—quite a contrast to those enslaved by alcohol. Be filled with the Holy Spirit.

You will have good success this 2017.

Remain blessed.

Shalom.
