What Are You Counting?

From Our Pastor's Desk

Human beings have an innate ability to count. It’s a built-in system for recognizing and representing numbers.

We’re born with the ability to see the world numerically just as we’re born to see the world in color.
'

Counting almost everything in our world is effortless to us, from cars to babies, animals to computers, taxes to inventory, and members to worshipers in a gathering.

But we choose what  to count & what not to count. To count, you first  choose the objects you want to count. Some choose  to count how many times they have prayed for a thing  without answer from God, rather than many more  things they received after praying, even without even  praying for those things at all.

Counting, Biblically  speaking, involves looking solemnly and with thanks at the  things we’re counting. God desire that, for example, we count/ number our days, look back at our past, wisely & thankfully consider our experiences so we become wiser.

Psalms 90:12 – “So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom” So, the concluding question is “What have you been counting?”

God is not a wicked God, and life is not all about problems. Everyone counts issues per time. It’s either you count your blessings or you count your problems. God has done so many things for you that if you can only take a moment to consider this, you’d be surprised, and your response just has to be “Heavenly Father, I am grateful for all you have done for me and my family”.

The Lord help us, in Jesus mighty Name. Amen. You will have a great turn-around this 2020.  Remain blessed.  Shalom.
