From Our Pastor's Desk
Micah 7:8 – “Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD shall be a light unto me” When I fall, not if. All of us have failed in something before, sometime, somewhere.
Maybe relationship, exam, interview, test, business, opportunity, an attempt, pregnancy, etc. Failure is part of life. Our instinct is to be ashamed of failure. But it's far better to do something imperfectly than to do nothing perfectly.
The only true failure is doing nothing. When we do nothing, it means we are not moving anywhere. And that is a surefire way to stay in failure.
Mistakes/failures are not a problem, but not taking the opportunity to learn from them is. Identify your mistakes and learn from them quickly.
Many successful people have experienced some kind of failure, and they build on those lessons. Psalms 37:23-24 – “The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.
Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand” Good men fall. Good women fail. God knows that. And that is even after ordering the steps of the good, godly man/woman, he still fell…and God knows & He’s prepared to uphold them.
Lord, we thank you for upholding us, in Jesus mighty Name. Amen. You will have a great turn-around this 2020.
Remain blessed.
Shalom.
