From Our Pastor's Desk
Welcome to this our new Month of Thanksgiving, in Jesus name. Rev. 7:12 – “Saying, A men: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen”
Yes, being Thankful, is important. Prayers are useless without thanksgiving. Our supplication, if not mixed with thanksgiving, is nought.
We are not only to be thankful for the good; but for everything, including the good, the bad and the ugly.
1st Thess. 5:18 says “In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” Notice scripture above says give thanks “in everything.”
In every storm, in every trial, in every condition, in every problem, give thanks. Gratitude is an attitude we choose to have.
There are times when our circumstances are pretty tough, that it becomes difficult to see the things we should be thankful for.
However, when we express gratitude in such tough times, we force ourselves to adopt a mind that is more like Jesus Christ. We see situations from God’s view versus our own view. In this “Our Month of Thanksgiving”, no matter who we are or what we’ve been going through or going through, we will choose to be thankful.
We will continually “enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise.
Be thankful to Him, and bless His name." (Psalm 100:4), in Jesus Name.
