I am what I am by the Grace of God

By Pastor 'Deji Adewale

The mercy and grace of God helps us to serve Him effectively and powerfully. We are unworthy in our own strength and abilities . But when we receive the grace of God we are enabled to serve Him.

The Apostle Paul felt he was not even worthy to be called an Apostle because he persecuted the church of God. But the Grace of God transformed him and enabled him to labour more than anybody else. We need to receive the grace of God to overcome our weaknesses and limitations and serve God effectively.

The Lord wants us to come boldly before the throne of Grace to receive grace and mercy to help in time of need. In his dying days Paul still said – Philippians 3:7-10 – “But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ.

Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith: That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;” You will have good success this 2016.
Remain blessed.

Wineskins - Are you old or new?

By Min. Florence Oyedeji

One of the many things we have learned this month is that the New Wine also symbolizes the Blessings of God. The New Wine cannot exist in a vacuum.

It needs Wineskins that will act as a conduit for it to reside in and be shared. We have been called by Christ to become Wineskins. Not just any old ragged and patched Wineskins, but New wineskins that can contain the power and force of the Blessings that the Lord is willing to pour out in these latter days.

We are called to be the channels and vessels that are ready for the Master’s use.  The question before you and I today is a simple one. Wineskins…Are you Old  or New. How can the Holy Spirit restore a New Wineskin heart in the midst of old wineskin attitudes of resentments, unforgiveness, anger, selfishness, just to name a few? Rom 6:6—”Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin”

The dryness and inflexibility of our spiritual hearts only reflect our need for the Holy Spirit to recondition our wineskin attitudes. If we allow Him, the Holy Spirit will gradually rub into our hardened hearts His anointing oil, and He will teach us how to abide in Jesus Christ. You will have good success this 2016.
Remain blessed.

Sin - #1 Enemy of the New Wine

By Pastor 'Deji Adewale

It’s time for us to go back to righteousness. Two words that the Church is no longer preaching about are Sin & Righteousness.

Romans 6:13 - Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God Proverbs 14:34 - Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people

We preach about everything else motivational for people to fulfill their potentials, live their dreams, have visions, maximize their lives, and have wisdom….but the church never talks about sin. So people are trying to be great but they are living horrible lives.

The words from the pulpit these days are what God can do for you, not what you can do for God, unlike olden days, the words were “Jesus is coming again, are you ready?” You could receive Jesus 100 times in a year, because you always get convicted.

I’m sure you & I came to Jesus, not because we wanted money or properties, but because we wanted to be holy, to live righteous, to have a relationship with Him, to make it to heaven… In Genesis 30:33, Jacob said “My righteousness shall answer for me” He essentially said his righteousness shall speak for him, intercede for him.

He said “I shall be reconciled by my righteousness” Job was covered in righteousness - Job 29:14… Job said… “I put on righteousness and it clothed me.”  We desire testimonies like Jacob & Job. Let us then pray “Father, you want to move in my life in NEW ways—Help me to be open to the New Wine of your Spirit and not miss what you have planned."

You will have good success this 2016.  Remain blessed. Shalom.

The Case for a New Wine

By Min. Ike Mbila

In this month of our “NEW WINE” we must make a self determined effort to examine some core concepts about the Biblical wine.

The word wine is mentioned about 231 times in the King James Version.  In Luke 5:37-38, the Bible reminds us that no man putteth new wine into old bottles and In verse 38 it reminds us that new wine must be put in new bottles to preserve both the wine and the bottle. Our monthly theme “NEW WINE” is taken from the book of Mark 2:22 where the Bible illustrates further that new wine cannot be put into old bottles or “WINE SKIN” that new wine must be put into new bottles in order to preserve both.

The old wine skin or bottle will imply our “old self” unrepented and unchanged creation. Whereas the new wine skin or bottle will be our “repented” new self or creation that has been redeemed and sanctified once and forever by the precious blood of our LORD JESUS CHRIST.

We will see why Christ warns that putting a new wine in an old bottle will burst and destroy the old bottle. The heavenly principle that “LIGHT WILL DESTROY DARKNESS” is very evident in the parable. So if we combine our old self (life without Christ) with the “HOLY SPIRIT” we are bound for massive destruction and eternal condemnation.

Brethren do we sincerely give thought to our old ways, our anger issues, our bitterness issues, our drinking and smoking binges, our harlotry, idolatry, envy, jealousy, greed, pride. Etc.

The Lord will help us make a case for NEW WINE in Jesus Name Amen. May we not fall back into our own vomit! God will anoint our eyes so that we may see Rev. 3:18

You will have good success this 2016.

Remain blessed.
