God's Covenant of "Never Again!"

Genesis 8:21 – “The LORD smelled the pleasing aroma and said in his heart: “Never again will I curse the ground because of humans, even though every inclination of the human heart is evil from childhood. And never again will I destroy all living creatures, as I have done.”

When there are repeated tragedies, misfortunes re-occurring again and again; when there is a noticeable continual happenstance of evil patterns, then a ‘Never Again’ resolve is often the response or reaction of an individual or a people who have suffered such a tragedy or tragedies of monumental proportion.

It is a prophetic proclamation and resolution to do everything possible and necessary to prevent the recurrence of such tragedy or tragedies.

After the devastating flood that wiped humans from the earth because of their sinful abominable ways that met with the wrath of God, save Noah, his family and animals paired.

Noah raised an altar of thanksgiving, prayer and fellowship unto God. He took clean animals of all kinds and offered them as burnt offering unto the LORD.

God smelled a sweet savour from Noah’s altar and was moved to make a covenant of ‘Never Again’ with him.

Genesis 9:11- “I establish m y covenant with you: Never again will all life be destroyed by the waters of a flood; never again will there be a flood to destroy the earth…”

God set a rainbow in the sky to remind man and Himself that He would ‘Never Again’ use flood to destroy all the earth.  So, I decree today, the evil, disappointments and heartbreak you saw & experienced in 2019, never again shall you see them in 2020 and beyond, in Jesus Name. AMEN.
