Call to Leadership

By Bro. Sola Afolabi

Isaiah 61: 6 - But ye shall be named the Priests of the LORD: men shall call you the Ministers of our God: ye shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall ye boast yourselves.

What  is  a  Call?  What  do  we mean by this is  my  calling?  A  calling  is  to  be  set apart and equip to do something. A calling sets you apart. When God calls us, He identifies us and sets us apart.

A call means to be summoned by God for an Assignment,  a  calling  is  an  invitation.   Example  -  calling  someone  in  the  crowd. When  someone  calls  you,  they  usually make a demand from you. When God calls us He identifies us and sets us apart for an assignment.

A  person  who  has  a  calling always has an assignment. The assignment becomes  a  burden  on  your  heart,  it  becomes something that you feel driven to do. It grants you an assignment. A calling is to have a deep sense of Mission for your life, a calling is when you know what your life mission is about.

There are people who do anything that comes their way, there are people who do exactly what they are called to do. Their lives have been set apart to do something in life.

In Exodus 31:1-5; Jesus Called by Name a man name Bezaleel – “And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, See, I have called by name Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah: And I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship, To devise cunning works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass,. And in cutting of stones, to set them, and in carving of timber, to work in all manner of workmanship”

As the Lord calls us to leadership (ministry), we pray He fills us with His Spirit, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workman-ship, in Jesus Name. AMEN.

You will have good success this 2019.

Remain blessed.

Shalom.
