Multiply Thy Gold

From Our Pastor's Desk

Ecclesiastes 11:1-2 says “Cast thy bread upon the waters: for thou shalt find it after many days. Give a portion to seven, and also to eight; for thou knowest not what evil shall be upon the earth”

The first part of this chapter (vs. 1-6) speaks of taking risks and making multiple investments rather than operating out of fear and exercising too much caution. It also speaks of being generous with your wealth.

But these first two verses speak of the need of multiple income streams because you don’t know what “evil” will be on the earth.  The advantage of multiple streams is if one stream dries up or slows down, you have others flowing in to pick up the slack.  With the recent trends of corporate downsizing and the loyalty of employers being a way of the past, multiple streams of income from different sources are more important than ever, and will be perhaps essential in the future.

Not only is this a good idea for you and your family’s security and wealth-building strategies, but it can help fulfill your vision of giving to expand the Kingdom.

When your savings has increased, it becomes a major source of investment in your hand. It becomes your gold to multiply and build wealth. Time to turn your fruitful field to a tree, then a forest, according to Isaiah 29:17 – “Is it not yet a very little while, and Lebanon shall be turned into a fruitful field, and the fruitful field shall be esteemed as a forest?”

Let’s cultivate the good habit of saving, then we should put our savings to work, so that it may reproduce and bring to us a constant flow/stream of wealth.

We need it. We will have it, in Jesus Name. Amen.

You will have good success this 2018.

Remain blessed.

Shalom.
