But. Nothing.

By Sis Rebecca Williams

Our God is such a good, good Father. The Bible is littered with very many several examples of our King coming through with abundance, whenever there was a lack.

In 1Kings 18:41, Elijah declared “there is the sound of abundance of rain”, after three long years of drought.

This declaration wasn’t an empty proclamation. It was backed the power of the Almighty.

Just like our theme of Supernatural Surplus for this month.
However, Elijah’s servant didn’t see anything. Neither did anyone else in the city.

Are you seeing anything? Could you still be looking at the drought, when the surplus is here? The fact that it is not yet seen physically is not an indication that it doesn’t exist.

Elijah, at the time kept his head between his knees in focus, prayer and faith. His servant went 7 times before he could notice anything remotely similar to a cloud in the sky.

In Luke 5:5, Simon declared they had toiled all night but caught nothing. However, at the word of the Master, he did let down his net again and great was their catch. So much so that their nets started to break.

At the insistence of Elijah, the servant kept going to look at the sky, until there was a desirable result.

If throughout our month of Supernatural Surplus, all you’ve experienced is anything but surplus, then, please do not despair.

There is a sound of abundance of rain, on its way for you. Please take courage from Haggai 2:9; there is a greater glory in your tomorrow.

There is hope in your future, says the Lord. You’ve toiled all night, waited all day, checked and re-checked but you got nothing?

Let down your net again, go again, try again, pray again, trust again, strike again and your abundance will surely come. In Jesus mighty name.

You will have good success this 2018.
Remain blessed.
Shalom.

Multiply Thy Gold

From Our Pastor's Desk

Ecclesiastes 11:1-2 says “Cast thy bread upon the waters: for thou shalt find it after many days. Give a portion to seven, and also to eight; for thou knowest not what evil shall be upon the earth”

The first part of this chapter (vs. 1-6) speaks of taking risks and making multiple investments rather than operating out of fear and exercising too much caution. It also speaks of being generous with your wealth.

But these first two verses speak of the need of multiple income streams because you don’t know what “evil” will be on the earth.  The advantage of multiple streams is if one stream dries up or slows down, you have others flowing in to pick up the slack.  With the recent trends of corporate downsizing and the loyalty of employers being a way of the past, multiple streams of income from different sources are more important than ever, and will be perhaps essential in the future.

Not only is this a good idea for you and your family’s security and wealth-building strategies, but it can help fulfill your vision of giving to expand the Kingdom.

When your savings has increased, it becomes a major source of investment in your hand. It becomes your gold to multiply and build wealth. Time to turn your fruitful field to a tree, then a forest, according to Isaiah 29:17 – “Is it not yet a very little while, and Lebanon shall be turned into a fruitful field, and the fruitful field shall be esteemed as a forest?”

Let’s cultivate the good habit of saving, then we should put our savings to work, so that it may reproduce and bring to us a constant flow/stream of wealth.

We need it. We will have it, in Jesus Name. Amen.

You will have good success this 2018.

Remain blessed.

Shalom.

Abundantly Gifted

By Tamilore Omomeji

“As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.” – 1st Peter 4-10 Abundance is when something is in large, surplus, plentiful, overflowing and more than sufficient quantity.  Gifted means endowed with talents such as being an artist, a writer, or a comedian.
One can also be blessed with spiritual gifts such as teaching, prophesying, showing mercy, serving others, counsellors, encouraging and being hospitable.  We can be assured that everyone has been given gifts and everyone is expected to minister it to others.

If you are unaware or unsure of the gifts you have, its best to ask God and be confident that God will definitely reveal it. As children, we are not too small or too young for God to use us.  Samuel was about 11 years old when he was called by God to be a prophet, Joseph was 17 years old when he had his 1st dream of prophesy and later became a prime minister, and David was a young boy when he defeated Goliath.

We all have God given talents even planted before we were born – Jeremiah 1:5-19.  We have been handcrafted by God to accomplish a part of His abundant gifts for the world.  God is waiting of each and every one of us to value and manifest His gifts that are within us.

We should all desire and choose to make a difference in the world with our gifts.  To impact lives positively in our generations.  Daniel, Joseph, the three Hebrew boys, Esther, were remembered for their exceptional gifts. We should be known for ours as well.

May the Lord help our children to stir up their abundant gifts to make a difference, in Jesus Name. Amen.

You will have good success this 2018.

Remain blessed.

Shalom

God's "Super" Over Our Natural

By Deaconess Flo Oyedeji

'Supernatural' means pertaining to, or being beyond what is natural; un-explainable by natural law or phenomena; abnormal. It also means pertaining to characteristic of, or attributed to God or a deity.)

'Supply' means to furnish or provide with what is lacking. It also means to make up, compensate for, or satisfy a deficiency, loss, need etc. As Children of God and Citizens of heaven, we never have to worry, God shall supply!

He is the one who will initiate and make a way for us. This supply comes out of God's glorious riches in Christ Jesus. Paul says, “And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus”. (Philippians 4:19 NIV).

Paul also says, “I can do all this through him who gives me strength”. (Philippians 4:13 NIV) Paul is convinced that the supernatural supply of strength he received from the Lord allows him to do everything possible in his life.

God wants His people to experience surplus in their finances and every area of their lives through His divine strength on our feeble natural state. He is ever-ready to provide all you will ever need in abundance. Are you willing to do what it takes to receive it?

May the Lord help us, in Jesus Name. Amen.

You will have good success this 2018.

Remain blessed.

Shalom.

July 2018 Our Month of Supernatural Surplus

 From Our Pastor's Desk

Welcome to this Our New Month of Supernatural Surplus, in Jesus name. Luke 5:6 – “And when they had this done, they in-closed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake”

Supernatural has two words – super & natural. Super means “of the highest quality”; above, over, beyond, higher, surpassing; outside the natural realm; divine.

Natural means “of nature”; normal, ordinary; or limited to the earthly realm. So, supernatural is something that takes place outside the natural world; above, over, higher and beyond the ordinary course of nature.

God has unusual ways and unlimited avenues of provision that supersede all natural limitations. When we allow God to move through our faith & obedience, He does “exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think” – Ephesians 3:20. We are no longer limited to or affected by the natural realm. Peter had fished all night, from 6pm to 6am, but had caught nothing.

He was completely devastated; he couldn't even go home – no food, no money, no joy! He was a failure. And his faith & obedience allowed Jesus to his boat & Peter received a net-breaking surplus that he had to share. Henceforth, for every Mercy Seatizen, no more failure, no more fruitless efforts, no more frustrations.

In this Month of Supernatural Surplus, our nets shall be full & breaking, our cups shall run over, our barns shall be filled with plenty. In Jesus Name.

Amen.
