Tomb Empty, But Throne Still Occupied

From Our Pastor's Desk

Happy Resurrection Sunday, everyone.

Today, thousands of years ago, Jesus rose from the dead, in fulfillment of prophecies. This is the morning when the Christian church celebrates what we have come to know as Easter.

It is the day when we commemorate and celebrate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ from the dead. Be it known, therefore, that Jesus is no more in the tomb.

Ephesians 1:20-22 tells us that Jesus now occupies His throne. He occupies the right hand of God, the Father, and that is where we are with Him.

Ephesians 2:6 “And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus”

May the power that raised Christ from the dead avail for each of us today & always, in Jesus Name.

You will have good success this 2018.

Remain blessed.
Shalom.

April 2018 - Our Month of Divine Occupancy

From Our Pastor's Desk

Welcome to this Our New Month of Divine Occupancy, in Jesus name.

Luke 5:3 – “And He entered into one of the ships, which was Simon's, and prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land. And He sat down…” Sitting down implies occupation. When Jesus comes, and sits down, in our lives & homes, He comes to occupy.

We want the Lord to completely occupy our lives, homes, marriages, etc. We should give Him all the seats, all the rooms, of our hearts & minds.

So, the crucial question is—does God completely occupy every place in my life? Jesus tells us in Mat.22:37-38–“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment”

He is our Creator, Sustainer, Protector & Source.. Many give God the crumbs of their lives, scraps, small pieces; as long as it doesn’t cost them too much time, enjoyment, money or effort. But God is not satisfied with that. He wants to be pre-eminent. He either has ALL of us or nothing at all.

In this Month of Divine Occupancy, we receive grace and wisdom to allow our God to occupy all of our lives, homes, marriages, finances, hearts, thoughts etc. We will not give our God second-rate sacrifices or services. And He, the Giver of good & perfect gifts will release unto us the best heaven can offer, in Jesus Name. Amen.

INTERNATIONAL FAMILY DAY OF PRAYER FOR ALL NATIONS

From Our Pastor's Desk

Shift from local to global thinking - "We must be global Christians with a global vision because our God is a global God."  “If God's love is for anybody, anywhere,  it's for everybody everywhere”

The Bible says “…God so  loved the world…”  The world is now a  smaller global  place.

Our lives are  intertwined with  other nations, clothes, food, music etc. The first way to start thinking globally is to begin praying for specific nations.

Psalm 2:8 – “Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession”.

World-class Christians pray for the world. If we cannot get there, we can aim our prayers to countries, people wherever they are. Let’s pray for nations TODAY. You will have good success this 2018.   Remain blessed.  Shalom.

Right Thing, Wrong Location

From Our Pastor's Desk

Last Tuesday Bible Study, we were taken through the topic “Are you in your right location?” by Pst. Mrs. Adewale. An excellent and revelatory study, indeed.

We looked at Elijah & Mordecai as case studies. Continuing in the same concept of right location, here’s another case study—Us; you and I. Judges 6:11 - "And there came an angel of the Lord , and sat under an oak which was in Ophrah, that pertained unto Joash the Abiezrite: and his son Gideon threshed wheat by the winepress, to hide it from the Midianites"

This was a stage that Gideon, a man of a great God, a mighty man of valor, decided to do the right thing at the wrong place. Gideon was a man plagued with fear, timidity, and even low self-esteem. He wasn’t at the right place.

When we are where the Lord wants us to be, when we are in the right location in God’s will for our lives, there is a supernatural release of power, grace, wisdom, and favor.

We need to understand that there is a place, a physical location that the Lord wants us to live, raise our children, practice our craft, attend church, serve Him, do our business and work.

But if we are not in that place, for whatever reason, we will not be able to pursue God’s assignment for our lives.

The Lord will grant us grace & wisdom to be at the right location, always, in Jesus Name. Amen.

You will have good success this 2018.
Remain blessed.
Shalom.

Secrets of Divine Location

By  Bro.  Okenna  Nwosu

In one account, God instructed Abram to relocate. Genesis 12:1-3 (NLV) - “Now the Lord said to Abram, “Leave your country, your family and your father’s house, and go to the land that I will show you.
And I will make you a great nation. I will bring good to you. I will make your name great, so you will be honored. I will bring good to those who are good to you. And I will curse those who curse you. Good will come to all the families of the earth because of you.”

We can understand from the above scripture the secret of Abraham’s blessing, honor and greatness was as a result of relocation to the right location.

Then another account, God did not instruct Naomi to relocate. Ruth 1:1-6 - "Now it came to pass...that there was a famine in the land. And a certain man of Bethlehem Judah went to sojourn in the country of Moab, he, and his wife, and his two sons…Then she arose with her daughters in law, that she might return from the country of Moab: for she had heard in the country of Moab how that the LORD had visited his people in giving them bread” We also understand the secret of Naomi’s bitterness, shame & affliction.

She ran away because of slight trial, and lost all.  Let’s not be like Naomi & Elimelech. Even if there is famine/trial, it’s only temporary; we’re covered, as long as we are where we are blessed, prayers answered, and God is there with us in our Bethlehem.

There’s more danger outside, no more cover in Moab, which is not our divine location. We will be at the right location where God has divinely placed us, in Jesus Name.

You will have good success this 2018.
Remain blessed. Shalom.

Washed & Oiled Feet

From Our Pastor's Desk.

For every human being going through the journey of life, there is a location. The location of a man or woman in life is vital.

We have to be at the right location, where God wants us to be, to get the right result and enjoy divine blessings.  So, to get to a location, the most basic of vehicles or tools to take us there are our feet. Our feet take us from place to place, from location to location.

Our prayer is that our feet will not take us to a place of trouble. In Exodus 12:11-14, when the angel of death was going around Egypt to slay all the Egyptian firstborns, any Israeli first-born that went to play with his Egyptian friend in a location that was not marked with the blood of the Lamb would have been destroyed, even though he was an Israelite. That’s why it’s important to anoint our feet.

God commanded Moses to bless Asher in Deuteronomy 33:24 – “And of Asher he said, Let Asher be blessed with children; let him be acceptable to his brethren, and let him dip his foot in oil”. Also, Jesus took the time to wash & anoint the feet of His disciples. John 13:5-14 – “After that he poureth water into a bason, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded”

Anyone who is not in the right location will be a victim of the destruction that takes place.  Father, please keep our feet away from the counsel of the ungodly and the way of sinners. We will not walk into the trap of the enemy. We will be at the right location where God has divinely placed us, in Jesus Name.
You will have good success this 2018.
Remain blessed.  Shalom.

March 2018 - Our Month of Divine Location

From Our Pastor's Desk

March 2018 Our Month of Divine Location Welcome to this Our New Month of Divine Location, in Jesus name. Psalms 37:23 – “The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way”

All authority and power on earth & in heaven belongs to God. He is the unmoveable mover & the unchangeable changer. When He positions a man for greatness, blessing, breakthrough, miracle or success, it must surely come to pass. Circumstances of life, challenges, background, set-backs, failures or unfavourable experiences can’t stop God from divinely locating & choosing a person for favour & breakthrough. Jesus located & chose Peter’s ship amongst many others.

Peter, a failure in fishing business; the day when Jesus located him, his business & purpose for living took a new turn. God in His mercies will locate us this month & perform notable miracles in our lives. There is a divine alignment that awaits one in a divine location.

Nothing will happen until that location is right. When the Lord locates one, the best comes out & the worst part dies. In other words, sicknesses die, bitterness turns sweet, death is defeated, poverty ceases, failure turns to success, & joy overflows. In this our Month of Divine Location, there shall be no dislocation for us in life. The Lord will choose us. We will be noticed and noted by our generation. We will not be out of place, in Jesus Name. Amen.
