I Must See Rome

From Our Pastor's Desk

The problem today is that we easily give up on our dreams & desires, most times at the point of breakthrough, without realizing that the darkest hour is closest to dawn. Whenever people get close to their breakthroughs, the devil forces them to become  discouraged, makes them grumble, complain,  murmur against God, and as a result he returns  them back to square-1 from the fringes of victory.

Psalm 37:4 admonishes us to “Delight thy-self also in the Lord and he shall give thee the desire of thine heart” You will overcome satanic obstacles. Satan will not have influence over you and you will not give up at the verge of your breakthrough.

ACTS 19:21 – “After these things were ended, Paul purposed in the spirit, when he had passed through Macedonia and Achaia, to go to Jerusalem, saying, After I have been there, I must also see Rome” Visiting Rome was Paul’s highest ministry ambition.

A notable servant of the Most High, A miracle worker. Raised the dead. He had preached the gospel in different places, in major cities of the then world like – Athens, Philippi, Collosse, Ephesus, Antioch, etc. He TURNED the world upside down with the gospel He made converts all over, tens of thousands.

Despite all his achievements and credentials, he still had a burning desire, so much he blurted it out ----- “I MUST SEE ROME. My joy will overflow if/when I see Rome”  What is your Rome that you must see?

You will have good success this 2018.

Remain blessed.

A Little Sleep, A Little Slumber

From Our Pastor's Desk

Governor Felix, in Acts 24, who was privileged to hear the Gospel, and was so convicted of his need for a Savior that he actually "trembled", but what did he do?
He procrastinated, or he "put it off", and he told the Apostle Paul in verse 25, "Go thy way for this time; when I have a convenient season, I will call for thee."

Friend, we never read where Governor Felix ever had "a convenient season", or another chance to get saved. No, his chance for salvation had come and gone.

The Bible has a lot to say about procrastination.   Most of us struggle with procrastination in one or more areas of our lives. But what we need to do, let’s do quickly.

Be a “NOW” man/woman. Don’t be a “LATER” man, a sluggard. Don’t be like Felix. Be urgent in your affairs. Proverbs 24 says: I passed by the field of the sluggard And by the vineyard of the man lacking sense, And behold, it was completely over- grown with thistles; Its surface was covered with nettles, And its stone wall was broken down. When I saw, I reflected upon it; I looked, and received instruction. “A little sleep, a little slumber, A little folding of the hands to rest,” Then your poverty will come as a robber And your want like an armed man (vv. 30-34).

Henceforth, we receive grace to focus on our divine assignments and goals; I command the spirit of procrastination, time wastage and misdirection to perish by fire, in Jesus name.

You will have good success this 2018.
Remain blessed. Shalom.

Get Started to Walk With God

By  Bro.  David  Opoku

For over 400 years, the children of Israel were in bondage and oppression. Until they prayed and cried unto the Lord with a vow to serve Him and God  heard their cry and their affliction and God  came down to change their story.
The children  of Israel returned back to the Lord and in  their return, they had an  encounter with favor and that  favor brought them into fortune.

The children of Israel that were in slavery had the economy of Egypt converted into their hands.

Destiny is working in the light of the scriptures.  Israel returned to God with a new stand for God and God returned back to them to enforce a change of story in Exodus 3:7-8.

Also, and similarly, in the land of captivity, Daniel, Shad-rach, Meshach and Abednego chose to be different and God distinguished them.

Beloved, this is “Our Month To GET STARTED”, God will distinguish you in different dimensions, in Jesus mighty name.
Amen.
You will have good success this 2018.
Remain blessed.
Shalom.

Get Cracking!

From Our Pastors Desk

Deuteronomy 1:6-8 – “The LORD our God spake unto us in Horeb, saying, Ye have dwelt long enough in this mount: Turn you, and take your journey…” There are quite a few examples of people in the Bible who were stuck in a rut.
The people of Israel knew all about it as the trekked around the wilderness for 40 years, going around in circles, never getting anywhere and becoming thoroughly bored with the same old routine day after day.

They longed for some change, even if it was in their diet. Their existence had become boring, routine and aimless. Eventually they would die and be buried in the sand. Their whole existence had become without purpose and meaning while they simply waited to die.
Many Christian’s lives are just like that – meaningless, boring and aimless as they simply wait to die.

But our God is a God of advancement. He is not a God of stagnancy, aimlessness, procrastination, and inactivity.  He is not a God that is directionless and plan-less. When the children of Israel got too comfortable on Mount Horeb, never wanting to move forward, God told them to GET STARTED and take the next step of their journey.

Just like the Biblical children of Israel, most of us know the things we ought to do and we don't do them. We know the things we shouldn't do and we do those. But things that we really want to change in our lives, we procrastinate on.

The next time we find ourselves procrastinating, let’s stop and ask ourselves why. Then we should ask God to help us overcome it so we can move forward and do what we need to do.
You will have good success this 2018.
Remain blessed. Shalom.

February 2018 - Our Month To Get Started

From Our Pastor's Desk

Welcome to this Our New Month To Get Started, in Jesus name. 2nd Kings 6:1-2 (CEV) – “One day the prophets said to Elisha, The place where we meet with you is too small. Why don’t we build a new meeting place near the Jordan River?
Each of us could get some wood, then we could build it. That’s a good idea,” Elisha replied, Get started” Get started, means to begin, commence, get rolling, get moving, to be active.

Stir yourself up into doing some-thing about that dream of yours. You have a good idea for a business? Get started. Your 2018 resolutions?

Well, get started. You need to improve your prayer devotion & Word content? Need to let a bad habit go? Get started. This is the time to stop procrastinating.

In Luke 5:1-11, it all looked gloomy for Peter at the onset, but he still toiled all night. Fishing was Peter’s engagement; what do you do for a living? Jesus found him engaged, even if he was failing. He was the right candidate for a glorious turn-around.

Stop postponing needlessly what you need to do now. You have spent too much time deliberating, praying, fasting, sharing about your dreams; now it’s time to act upon it. Stop expecting success to just fall in to your lap. Get started. Get moving and start doing. In this Our Month To Get Started, that which we do, the Lord will turn around for progress & promotion, in Jesus Name. Amen
