Sir/Lady...Are you Jesus?

By Pastor 'Deji Adewale

“And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. If he does, the wine will burst the skins, and both the wine and the wineskins will be ruined. No, he pours new wine into new wineskins” Mark 2:22

We are seeing a dangerous trend of people just having lively emotional expe-riences (‘affections’), religiosity, attendance at churches, love for believers, etc. but these are not proofs of regeneration.

Many have had deep reli-gious experiences but their of faith later proved emp-ty. They were never true believers in the first place, but had simply copied the actions of those who were. I have no doubt that the Holy Spirit has regenerated many thousands of men and women. Equally,

I be-lieve many have come into the churches without tru-ly understanding what Christ has done for sinners. Spiritual ‘experiences’ do not necessarily signify regeneration. Not church membership, doing good deeds, or "trying" to be a Christian. We must change this 2016.

In spite of our confession of being born-again, many are not. We come to church every week to listen to His word, God has ordained that the preaching (telling, reading etc.) of His Word is the means by which a person is regener-ated. Man’s first birth is natural; his second birth is spiritual and supernatural. His first birth makes him a member of a fallen race; his second birth makes him a member of a redeemed race.

His first birth gives him a depraved nature; his second birth makes him partaker of the divine nature. The moment a person is born again he receives a new life and a new position as a child of God. In short, he is a new creature in Christ, the old has been done away with, behold the new. New way of life, new habits, new thoughts, speech, deeds…new wine in a new wineskin. You will have good success this 2016.

Remain blessed.

Unstoppable God - He is Risen

By Minister Rowan Samuel

Matthew 28:6 - "He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay."

“THE EMPTY TOMB IS THE PROOF THAT JESUS IS ALIVE” Today is Easter Sunday, all over the world.

We are celebrating the glorious resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ from the dead. The events of Christ’s crucifixion and resurrection are two undisputable phenomena that had proved beyond any iota of doubt that Christianity is not just mere religion, but a way of life. Besides, Jesus Christ is life.

At the tomb of Lazarus, He said, ‘I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies…’ John 11:25. The empty tomb is a testimony to the truth that God took the greatest evil and created the greatest good. So, there is hope for you in any situation you may find yourself. So, rejoice, celebrate, for Jesus has risen.

You will have good success this 2016.
Remain blessed.
Shalom.

Divine Contact

By: Pastor 'Deji Adewale

Contact means to establish communication with someone or a touch or an observation or receiving of a significant signal from a person or object.

Divine Contact is, therefore, communication with, coming in contact, having an encounter with or a touch from God. In Luke 7, there was a widow in a city called Nain, she had only one son, & this single son died.

The woman was left unhappy, heartbroken & sorrowful. And as they were going to bury this young man, they came into contact the Lord. As they met the Lord, sorrow came to an end, all the oppression in the heart came to an end.

How did that happen? Jesus stretches out His hand and He touched the coffin and the man got up and he became alive again.  Luke 6:19 says “And the whole multitude sought to touch Him: for there went virtue out of Him, and healed them all” It doesn’t matter how many or how far in the crowd you are, once you come in contact with His presence, words, shadow, His Spirit, your shame, sickness, sorrow etc. come to an end.

As you receive the touch of God, & you keep in touch with God this month of March, everything that is hitherto dead in your life, marriage and finances shall come alive, in Jesus Name Amen.

Flee From Unholy Contacts

What is wrong with two people sleeping together or living together if they really love each other and are open and honest?"  "Not sex with everybody, but what about sex in a particular relation-ship?"

"What if we have sex, enjoy it, and discover it makes us love each oth-er all the more"  "Are you suggesting I am some kind of prude and should say "no" to sex just because I am young and single?"

"Haven't times changed?"  "Isn't a lot of this campaign about HIV/AIDS just scare tactics and not relevant to those of us who are in straight crowds?  Good questions deserve honest, straight answers.

All around us are a thousand voices trying to squeeze us into the world's mold. The ques-tion is; will you stand out above the mass of humanity and become one of the priceless few who have the courage and conviction to say 'No'? Notice what Joseph says in Genesis 39:9. There is none greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept back any thing from me but thee, because thou art his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?”
As Christians, we need to know what the Bible says about sex outside of marriage.
God instructs us not to have sex with anyone other than our spouse. Exodus 20:14. It is clear that God forbids sex outside of marriage. When we obey God, He is pleased. He honors our obedience by blessing us.

You will have good success this 2016.

Remain blessed.

Shalom.

The F's of Fruitfulness

Nehemiah 4:6—”So we built the wall and the whole wall was joined together to half its height; for the people had a mind to work”.

Fortitude means Strength of mind that enables one to endure adversity with courage. It is determination, perseverance, patience, and resolve. It refers to stick-to-it-iveness, hanging tough, keeping the focus and staying the course. When you stick to a course, no matter what, obstacles are bound to give way.

When we are determined and in God’s will/purpose, then 1st John 5:14-15 “And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.”  Maybe you used to be more faithful. Maybe you used to be more involved. Maybe you used to give more of your time. Maybe you used to tithe. Maybe you used to teach.

Then you got discouraged. Then you slowly but surely bailed out. It’s time to look up. It’s time to serve with determination. Where discouragement abounds, determination is the answer. Hang in there! Don’t give up! Don’t give in! There is no per-fect life. There are no perfect churches.

The question is not will we face discouragement but how will we face discour-agement!  Press on. Nothing in the world can take the place of fortitude. Remember that old adage used by the Marine Corps?

It says, "When the going gets tough, the tough get going." That’s a quality we need for increase & fruitfulness.

You will have good success this 2016.

Remain blessed. Shalom.
