Stop Hiding Behind Stuff

From Our Pastor's Desk

Revelation 5:10 – “And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth” In 1st Samuel 8, it was apparent that God’s choice had been declared. Saul was the man.

He had been anointed and chosen, so everyone expected he should answer to his name at the first call, but instead of that, none of his friends could find him.

So, in 1st Samuel 10:22 we read “Therefore they enquired of the Lord further, if the man should yet come thither. And the LORD answered, Behold, he hath hid himself among the stuff” It is clear that he was deliberately hiding.

Why? Why was he hiding? Didn’t he already know back in Chapter 8 that he was God’s choice to be king? He hid, not because he was modest or humble. Far from it. He just did not want to accept responsibility, he was timid, afraid and intimidated.

We all have “stuff”, our baggage, fear and excuses that some of us hide behind.  What are you hiding behind today? Timidity? Fear? Intimidation? Are you hiding because you are without formal education?

Are you hiding because you have no fervor for the things of God? Is it because you have no reality in a relationship with Him? Is it because you had a bad childhood? Alcoholic parents? Divorced parents? You were orphaned? You have poor grammar?

You feel worthless because you have no title in the corporate world? You have no social standing? You’re not well to do or you’re still waiting for that big break? You’ve been burned in a relationship? Some prayers yet to be answered or desires yet to be granted?

You have an ugly past? You’re divorced? Have an impediment? Are you physically unattractive? What’s your excuse? Etc. What are you hiding behind?

My dear brother, my sister, get out from behind the stuff and answer God’s call. You are a chosen king, you are a chosen priest. God needs you, the people need you. We serve the “God of (Wo)man” that helps the “(Wo)man of God”.

The Lord bless you as you step into your destined role of royal priesthood, in Jesus Name. AMEN.

You will have good success this 2019.

Remain blessed.

Shalom.

September 2019 - Our Month of the Priests of the Lord

 From Our Pastor's Desk

Welcome to this Our New Month of The Priests of the Lord in Jesus name. Isaiah 61:6 – “But ye shall be named the Priests of the LORD…” In the OT, the priests offered sacrifices for the people in a veiled temple, communicating directly with God in the holy of holies.

They then share God's words with the people. In the NT, Jesus gave His life on the cross as atoning Lamb, & tore the veil in two. We no longer need a priest to communicate to God for us in the holy of holies. Jesus, the Lamb of God, became our High Priest.

Accepting Jesus as Lord & Savior makes us part of His priesthood.  God has always wanted a royal priesthood – Rev. 5:10 – “And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth”

We are now priests with regards to unbelievers around us. We are intercessors. We are to speak to God directly for the people, & speak to the people for God.

By our words, actions, the way we live our lives, & our service, we are to express God's love for the world In this Our Month of the Priests of the Lord, & beyond, the Lord will use us, as His Kingdom of Priests, so that others may turn to Him, trust Him, accept His offer of salvation and live for eternity, thereby reconciling the world and restoring all of creation back to Him again, in Jesus Name.
AMEN

A Man Called “Breach”

From Our Pastor’s Desk

Genesis 38: 28-29 – “And it came to pass, when she travailed, that the one put out his hand: and the midwife took and bound upon his hand a scarlet thread, saying, This came out first.

And it came to pass, as he drew back his hand, that,
behold, his brother came out: and she said, How hast thou broken forth? this breach be upon thee: therefore his name was called Pharez”

One of our biggest challenges in life is how to stay in a race when others have
gone ahead of us, when others have left us behind. When our mates, colleagues and contemporaries are way out there and we are way behind here.

When our case looks entirely hopeless, such that the more we try harder the more behind we get. When situations look like we’ll never catch up and do the things we wish to do.

When it seems like we’re getting older by the day, but our childhood dreams are not yet ful- filled, that we still have a lot of unfinished business.

But I’ve got great news for someone reading this text, that a special anointing, the Perez anointing, that pulls from behind and propels to the front, will bring you forward and make you a front-runner.

The Perez spirit will break and breach walls of protocol, of laws, rules and make an opening for you, in Jesus Name. AMEN.

You will have good success this 2019.

Remain blessed.
Shalom.

Celebrating the Breaches

 By Pastor Abel Orimoloye

A breach, is the act of breaking; or state of being broken; a rupture; a break; a gap; the space between the severed parts of a solid body parted by violence; as a breach in a garment, or in a wall.

Luke 22:42-44 Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless, not my will, but thine, be done….And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.

Our God is a perfect God. He loves, protects, guides and looks after us, but still He gives the clearance or permission for breaches. The two scriptures above show breaching moments with our Lord Jesus.

Despite His love for His only begotten son, we can see that the breach was still permitted. What was the sin committed by Jesus that warranted this quotation in Matthew 27:46?

Remember, Jesus stated before His disciples in John 10:30 saying: “I and my Father are one.”  The same Jesus is now shouting in agony, “My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?”

The breaches experienced by Jesus all happened for a purpose, according to 2 Corinthians 5:19: “To wit, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself.”

Brethren, Jesus did not celebrate His breaches for He knew it was for a purpose and He handed everything over to His father - the Designer, Builder and Repairer of all destinies.

That was why He said: “…nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.” We should also do likewise. We are not to die for the world again, for Jesus has done that, but I want us to know we are not to be celebrating our breaches, such as that sickness, loss of loved ones, loss of Job, disappointment, failure, disability, childlessness, lack of marital breakthrough, pressure and afflictions, etc.

Receive this message of hope and understand that if a breach could happen to Jesus, it can certainly happen to anyone. The Good news is in Romans 8: 28 “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”

It is my prayer that God will give us that spirit which will enable us, not to celebrate that problem anymore but to rise up and call on our breach repairer to swing into action for us, in Jesus Name. AMEN.
You will have good success this 2019.
Remain blessed. Shalom.

P.E.R.I.O.D: Possibilities Evolving Righteously Into Our Destinies

Souled Out Teenagers Week 2019

By  Sis. Susanne Oyedeji

Matthew 17:20 - “And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.”

Mark 9:23 - “Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”

These two scriptures both talk about possibilities, which can also be noted as opportunities, potentials, abilities, achievability, prospects etc.

Because we are children of God, we have access to endless possibilities whether it be financial, physical, mental, emotional, career, professional, academic, relationship, or most important, spiritual.

The level of faith that we have is one of the most important influences on the types of possibilities that we can achieve; having faith and trust in the Lord is key in unlocking our full potentials.

Even a little faith can go a long way, according to Matthew 17:20.  Faith doesn’t make things easy, it just makes things possible. With God all things are possible, that is the bottom line.

If we are working for the Lord and He is fighting for us, then no matter how unattainable anything may seem for us, by His will and grace we shall exceed in all that we set our minds to, and as we grow in this belief we shall righteously fulfill our destinies for our lives according to His will.

God bless us all as we continue on His path for us, in Jesus Name. AMEN.

You will have good success this 2019.

Remain blessed.

Shalom.

Repairers at Work

From Our Pastor's Desk

Some years ago a group of educators decided to remove the chain-link fence from around their school's playground.

They believed the fence promoted feelings of confinement and restraint. But then a curious thing happened. They noticed that as soon as the fence was removed, the children huddled in the center of the playground to play.

Unknown to the "experts," the children had actually gained a sense of security from the presence of the fence. God supplies this spiritual wall to those who seek His Way, His providence, and His will.

God puts a wall around His people to keep Satan at bay, as in the example of Job.

So “satan answered the Lord and said, Does Job fear God for nought? Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side?" – Job 1:9-10

There are now consistent attacks on traditional marriage between man & woman, and “And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men” (Romans 1:27); opposition to public mention of the Bible and God of the Bible, and also legalized abortion; are few examples.

The hedges around the Lord’s churches have been weakened by worldliness, carelessness, prayerlessness, and rejection of Biblical truth.  We need a massive effort to rebuild, raise up, repair and restore all the broken down walls by these satanic attacks, just like the days of Nehemiah.

Isaiah referred to the success of those who rebuild when their efforts are combined with faith and righteousness. He said, "And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in."  (Isaiah 58:12).

Let’s roll up our sleeves and get to work – Repairers-At-Work. May the Lord strengthen our hands for this good work, in Jesus Name. AMEN.  You will have good success this 2019.  Remain blessed.  Shalom.

August 2019 - Our Month of Repairers of Breaches

From Our Pastor's Desk

Welcome to this Our New Month of Repairers of Breaches in Jesus name.

Isaiah 61:4 – “...they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, & they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations”

In Isaiah 5:1-5, Believer s were likened to a vineyard with precious vine. Just as God fenced the vineyard, He surrounds every believer with a divine hedge - Psalms 91:1-2.

When these hedges are broken, invaded, or allowed to deteriorate, it causes breaches or gaps, & a breakdown of protection.

The enemy then infiltrates & invades, making the land go into desolation & waste. Eccl. 10:8—He that diggeth a pit shall fall into it; & whoso breaketh an hedge, a serpent shall bite him.

Believers are needed to repair these breaches to prevent enemy invasion/intrusion, or the occupants would be in great jeopardy. We are Repairers of Breaches.  Isaiah 58:12 – “... & thou shalt be called, the repairer of the breach, the restorer of paths to dwell in”

As Believers, in this Our Month of Repairers of Breaches, we must be vigilant that nothing breaches our spiritual defenses. We will not let down our guard.

Every pipeline of evil into our lives, homes, marriages, businesses, finances, academics, careers, through which our efforts are invaded & drained, is henceforth permanently blocked, in Jesus mighty Name.

Amen.
