From Lowest to Highest

By: Pastor 'Deji Adewale

Obadiah 1:17- “But upon mount Zion shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness; and the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions”

“Give me this mountain". This was the prayer of Caleb who could see deeper into spiritual things. I guess I now know why he so much wanted that mountain.

Campers, especially the Boys Scout, would always take themselves to the high hills and mountain tops to stay the night after much jungle work. On the mountain top, there is little or no fear of snakes, scorpions, other dangerous animals, even mosquitoes are rarely there.

Very cool a place to stay. So cool that they would not be bothered if their beds were rocks or not. Remember what they say, “the higher you go the cooler it becomes”

This is a geographical principle that states that when one moves to a higher height, temperature generally decreases. In essence, the mountain-top is a place free from fear, a place of rest and great dreams.

Obadiah 1:17 tells us that the mountain is a place of great deliverance and possession, but the valley is not a good place to stay. It is a place of fear and demotion, a place of unwanted burdens and stains, a place of the shadow of death.

Psalms 23:4 You are not to be seen there. Beloved, you need to claim your own mountain and leave the valley. The Lord will give you your mountain top life, peace, coolness, safety and rest, in Jesus Name.

You will have good success this 2017.
Remain blessed.
Shalom.
