The Power in His Name

By Deaconess Florence Oyedeji

We use this phrase in prayer a lot, but how many really understand the full impact of what it means to say "In the name of Jesus"?

What is the power of someone's name? It is a word or expression in which someone is represented to us. When I mention or hear a name, it brings to mind the whole man, what I know of him/her and also the impression he or she has made on me.

The name of a king includes his honor, his power, and his kingdom. His name is the symbol of his power. And so, each name of Jesus embodies and represents some part of the glory of the Unseen One.

The Name of Christ is the expression of everything He has done and everything He is and lives to do as our Mediator. Matthew 28:18, says "And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying,

All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth."  Knowing the meaning of this word gives us a much greater idea of what Jesus meant when He said "all power." He was talking about all authority; He was given the privilege and right to do as He pleases, and the right of governmental authority over everything in heaven and in earth.

Know The Person of Jesus

By Pastor 'Deji Adewale

As Christians, the Name of Jesus belongs to us. But many times, His Name doesn't mean as much to us as it should.

We need to apply the name of Jesus to situations. His name is the solution to all situation. If you apply that name to any disease, there’d be healing.

If you apply that name to any confusion, there’d be solution. If you apply that name to any storm, there’d be calmness.

First example,  Peter & John called on that name & the  lame man leaped. Acts 3:6-8 – “Then Peter  said, Silver and gold have I none; but such  as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus  Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. And  he took him by the right hand, and lifted  him up: and immediately his feet and an- kle bones received strength. And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.

Second, Lazarus, dead and rotten for four days rose up at the mention of the name – John 11:42-44

Today, I command everything lame in your life to leap up in the NAME OF JESUS. Everything contrary to purpose, dead in your life, in your business, in your marriage, in your fi-nances… HEAR the Name of JESUS and come back to life, in JESUS NAME. Amen.

But for you to apply that name effectively, you must know the personality behind that name. The reason some call that name & He doesn’t answer is because, you don’t know that name and the name doesn’t know you.

You need to know the Person of Jesus

You will have good success this 2017.

Remain blessed.

Jesus! Name Above Every Name

By Min. Joseph Nnaji

The Bible tells us in Philippians 2: 9-11 that“Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things  under the earth; And that every  tongue should confess that Jesus  Christ is Lord, to the glory of  God the Father”

Names are  very important. It  can help make  or mar a life's  destiny. You can  ask people like Jabez, and Nabal. Jesus’ name is above every name that was, that is, and that will yet be.

God in His infinite wisdom has made that Name to be higher than any other name, both living and non living things. In the spiritual and physical, of the things in heaven, things on earth, and things underneath the earth.

So no matter what anyone is going through, or any challenges that anyone is facing. As long as they have name, they are under the name of Jesus.

Whether they be addiction, barrenness, depression, discouragement, disease, illness, joblessness, marital, poverty, sickness, etc... "Jesus is above all." Ephesians 1:21

From our Pastor's Desk - February 2017: Our Month of JESUS, The Amen.

Welcome to this our new Month of JESUS, The Amen, in Jesus name.

Philippians 2: 9-11 “Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father”

The name of Jesus is exalted and powerful. Any pray-er said, however fiery, with fire coming out of our mouth, if we don’t close “in Jesus Name”, it’s a waste of precious time. And what follows when a prayer is said in Jesus Name is “Amen”, which is another name of Jesus, meaning that the prayer is true and one agrees with it. Jesus Christ Himself said He is "The Amen, the Faithful and True Witness"

Rev. 3:14 Jesus said in John 14:14 “If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it”  So, as we celebrate Jesus, The Amen, this month, no matter what we’re going through, no matter the situation, we apply the name of Jesus, bringing every knee down, and every power into subjection.

The power behind the name of Jesus, the aura, the glory, will change things for us, will bring every knee to captivity & subjugation.

Whatever machination is in motion against us & our loved ones comes to abrupt seizure NOW , in Jesus Name. Amen.

In Jesus Name, Amen

By Pastor 'Deji Adewale

Jesus loves names. He has many names.

In John 10:7 He said I am the Door.
In John 10:11 He says I am the Good Shepherd.
In John 11:25 He said I am the Resurrection and the Life.
In John 14:6 He says I am the Way the Truth and the Life.
In  Isaiah 9:6, His Father called Him Wonderful,  Counselor, Mighty God, Ever-lasting Father,  and Prince of peace.

In Revelation 1:8 He  said I am the Alpha, the  Omega, the Beginning, the Ending, the One  who is, the One who was, the One who is to  come, the Almighty.

Any prayer said, however fiery, bring fire out of your mouth…if you don’t close “in Jesus Name”, it’s a waste of precious time. And we say “Amen” after a prayer closed in His Name.

Amen, is another name of Jesus – Revelation 3:14; and is also a word we all know and say regularly, regardless of what language we speak. It is the most universal of all words.

Listen to someone pray in German, Korean, French, Portuguese or Spanish, and they’ll end their prayer with “Amen.” The use of this word began in the Old Testament; the Hebrew means, “to confirm or to make firm”.. It says “So be it”; “So it is”; “So shall it be”… It carries the weight of approval, support, acknowledgment and affirmation. Amen conveys firmness and certainty.
